Performance Estimation of One-way Network RTK in Korea
Nam-Kyong Wang, Byungwoon Park*

RTK (Real Time Kinematic) provides high positioning performance using carrier phase measurement, but single-baseline RTK coverage is only 10~20km. Network RTK such as VRS (Virtual Reference Station), MAC (Master-Auxiliary Concept), or FKP (Flachen-Korrektur-Parameter) enlarges the RTK-available region. High accuracy and large coverage of the network RTK is expected to improve the performance of current navigation in air traffic, land traffic, and marine transportation. One-way network RTK solutions which are MAC and FKP are suitable to mass transportation user, while two-way data link of VRS limits the number of user, user mobility and the service range. In this paper, we show Matlab simulation results of the one-way network RTK in Korea. We generated 1 hour data set for 6 reference stations and users on grid point in network. For the measurement generation, we used sp3 and RINEX(Receiver INdependent Exchange Format) data for ephemeris error, IONEX (IONosphere map EXchange) for ionospheric error, and WAAS model for tropospheric error. From our study, we analyzed the accuracy, time for ambiguity resolution, and bandwidth for the one-way network RTK correction, and then we compare the performances of FKP and MAC.
