A Study on the Calibration Method and Test Result of Interference DOA Estimation in the Anechoic Chamber for the DOA Estimation System Using MUSIC
Seungwoo Seo, Youngbum Park, Kiwon Song

It is possible to estimate Direction of Arrival (DOA) of multiple signals by digital signal processing of the received signal to the array antenna composed of a plurality of antenna elements. In particular multiple signal classification (MUSIC) based on subspace technique is generally used algorithm due to its high resolution and low computational complexity. The performance of a DOA measurement system using array antenna is closely related to the characteristics of the gain and phase delay of the antenna and the RF/IF part. Therefore, in order to accurately estimate the angle of incidence, after manufacturing the system, it is very important to calibrate the system in an environment free from other error factors, such as an anechoic chamber. In this paper, the calibration method in anechoic chamber for a DOA estimation system using MUSIC is presented and the performance test results of the DOA estimation system based on a 5-element array antenna are presented.
