Design of Jamming Rejection Antenna System for GNSS Receiver
Yong-Hyun Park, Jong Chul Cho, Byeong-Gyun Kim

In this paper, we proposed the design of jamming rejection antenna system to suppress the narrow and wide band jamming signals. The jamming rejection performance against the narrow and wide band signals is improved by simply replacing the general antenna of legacy GNSS receiver with the proposed device. It is composed of 4-channel array antenna, RF/IF down-converter, ADC, logic device, DAC and IF/RF up-converter. The GNSS signal from each antenna including the jamming signals is down-converted to the IF signals in the RF/IF down-converter and digitized by the ADC. Narrowband and wideband jamming is removed through the jamming rejection module implemented in logic device. The output of the jamming rejection module is converted to an analog signal by the DAC and converted to RF signal through the IF/RF up-converter and finally output the GNSS signals excluding the jamming signals. The performance of the proposed device is evaluated by combining it and the general GNSS receiver without additional jamming rejection capability under the environment of narrow and wide band jamming signals using GNSS simulator and signal generator.
