Simulation-based Analysis for Ionospheric Disturbances due to Earthquake using Radio Occultation Modeled by Chapman Electron Density
Bugyeom Kim, O-jong Kim, Deokhwa Han, Seonho Kang, Junesol Song, Changdon Kee

In this paper, we construct the radio occultation simulation when traveling ionospheric disturbances exist. In order to construct the simulation, we use Chapman electron density profile to generate a normal ionosphere condition. Moreover, simulation parameters which are related to disturbance and satellite refer to the actual value. The simulation result of normal condition, disturbances not included, shows that the duration time is 3 minutes and the maximum total electron content height is 300km. The simulation result of disturbed condition, disturbances included, shows that the disturbance is detected by using 50-100mHz band-pass filter.
