2024년 11월 발사된 항공위성 2호기는 KASS와의 통합, 시험을 거쳐 2025년 5월부터 시험용 신호를 제공하고 있으며 2025년말 항공용 서비스에 통합될 예정이다. 성능유지감시 도구는 항공위성 1호기를 활용한 항공용 서비스의 성능감시를 위해 이미 구축되어 운영에 활용되고 있다. 항공위성 2호기를 포함하는 KASS의 시스템 및 서비스에 대한 성능 감시를 위해 실시간 상태감시, 성능저하감시 등의 성능유지감시 도구에 대한 개선을 수행하였고 실제 시험용 신호를 활용하여 도구를 검증하였다. 이러한 개선을 통해 더욱더 안정적인 KASS 서비스 제공할 예정이다.

Improvement of the PMTs for Monitoring Performance of 2nd KASS Satellite

Launched in November 2024, 2nd KASS satellite has been integrated with Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) and has been providing test signals since May 2025. It is scheduled to be deployed for Safety of Life (SOL) services by the end of 2025. Performance Monitoring Tool (PMT)s have already been established and are in operation for performance monitoring of SOL services using 1st KASS satellite. To monitor the performance of KASS systems and services, including 2nd KASS satellite, improvements have been made to these tools, including real-time status and performance degradation monitoring, and these tools have been verified using actual test signals. These improvements are expected to provide even more stable KASS services.
