This work introduces preprocessing schemes for improving the performance of direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimations that rely on eigenvalue decomposition of the incident signals on an antenna array: the force allocation scheme and the signal selection scheme. When multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm is considered with uniform linear array (ULA), the simulation results show that the proposed schemes improve the estimation performance.
